PathBuilder
Design learning that connects.

PathBuilder is the place where educators learn how to bring Digital Human Library experiences together in ways that make sense for students. PathBuilder is not a tool or a step to complete. It's a place where teachers learn how all of the pieces fit together to simplify thoughtful planning so learning feels connected and purposeful.
Teachers use PathBuilder as a space to:
- Get Started with Digital Human Library
- Build a Learning Path using LessonDesign AI to connect live experts, virtual tours, and career exploration into curriculum-based cycles of inquiry, units, and lesson plans
- Learn about Experiential Learning at Digital Human Library
PathBuilder helps students make connections across subjects, ideas, and perspectives, supports reflection and discussion around shared experiences, and apply learning in new and meaningful ways.

FAQs
Build A Learning Path
A learning path is a cycle of inquiry, unit, or lesson plan that integrates Digital Human Library's experiences into your curriculum. Learning paths are designed to be experiential, and can be short or extended, simple or detailed—whatever your students need.
Teachers build learning paths using LessonDesign AI. All you need is an idea, and AI will add your curriculum, help you build assessment tasks, activties, and suggest Digital Human Library experiences that will engage students and create the conditions for deep learning.
Learning Paths help teachers:
- engage students
- support inquiry and discussion
- create space for reflection
- connect ideas and apply learning
LessonDesign AI
LessonDesign AI is the platform teachers use to build learning paths. It supports exploration as much as planning, so you don’t need to have everything figured out before you begin.
With LessonDesign AI, teachers can:
- Start with a big idea, topic, or learning goal
- Connect the curriculum to your grade and subject area focus
- Design assessment tasks for, as, and as learning
- Integrate meaningful experiences and activities using dHL's
Video Conference with Experts library, Virtual Tours & VR, and CareerMentor AI - Design activities and tasks that teach transferrable skills and cultural competencies
