Cambridge Butterfly Conservatory

Last week the Cambridge Butterfly Conservatory registered as our newest collection of meBook Experts offering educational programs for students using video conferencing technology.

About Cambridge Butterfly Conservatory:
Cambridge Butterfly Conservatory is a live tropical greenhouse and butterfly exhibit located in Cambridge, Ontario. Their mission is one of education and conservation, by giving people an immersive experience in our tropical greenhouse, pique their wonder and curiosity, and allow them to leave with new knowledge and questions. In short, they love bugs, and they want to help others love bugs too!
The Cambridge Butterfly Conservatory has been running on-site education programming for schools for 15 years. The Virtual Field Trip program is designed to connect even more teachers and students with the experts at the Butterfly Conservatory who might not otherwise be able to experience their programs in person.

About their Programs:
The Cambridge Butterfly Conservatory will be launching their new Virtual Field Trip program beginning officially, in January 2016.
Each Virtual Field Trip, let by an experienced Nature Interpreter, will include interactive, curriculum-focused activities, an Insect Encounter, where students see and learn about several of their tropical critters up close, as well as a Guided Tour of the greenhouse to see their live butterflies in their habitat. They are going to be launching with two programs: All about Butterflies (JK-Gr2), focusing on the life and body structures of butterflies and insects, and Bugs in the World (Gr 4-8), focusing on the role insects in their ecosystems. They can also adapt any of their on-site programs to be Virtual Field Trips. http://cambridgebutterfly.com/children-s-programs/school-group-programs
