A KIDS’ GUIDE TO CANADA NEEDS YOU!
The Kids’ Guide to Canada project is a free teacher-led initiative offering an unprecedented opportunity every K-8 student to make a personal contribution of lasting meaning and value to Canada’s future: to help create the first multilingual, multicultural and interactive guide to Canada made by kids and for kids. In the process, classes have a chance to meet and learn with peers from coast to coast, and help build a new era of “understanding, empathy, respect”. (TRC, Call to Action 63)
One of the most exciting aspects of the project is the ability it provides teachers to find and connect with others to engage students in rich and authentic learning experiences never before possible. Learn more…
HOW CAN YOU HELP?
A Kids’ Guide to Canada is looking for teachers to volunteer and help contribute to this grassroots teacher-led initiative. We have all kinds of tasks ranging from small jobs requiring just minutes of your time, to more permanent roles on our team! The amount of time you commit as a volunteer is entirely up to you. Every contribution counts!
Joining the Kids’ Guide team is also an opportunity for you to meet, network and build relationships with some of the most talented educators from across the country who have made A Kids’ Guide to Canada possible.
Your experience, skills and expertise would be invaluable in helping bring this project to every elementary teacher and student from coast to coast to coast. We hope will consider contributing to A Kids’ Guide to Canada.
