For over 3 years we have been working with K-12 teachers and students in Districts around the world to bring students together in meaningful conversations that matter to them.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Every year we reach out to educators to encourage them to participate in GlobalEdSsChat with their classes. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And every we year we reach out to educators who might be interested in supporting @GlobalEdSsChat as a School District Lead to help promote the chat within your District and PLN.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>We hope you will join us!<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:58px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/antiquewhite-albatross-611666.hostingersite.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/Screen-Shot-2020-09-28-at-12.18.31-PM.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-10037\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>What is #GlobalEdSsChat?<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/GlobalEdSsChat\">@GlobalEdSsChat<\/a> is a student-led Twitter Chat that connects K-12 students around the world to discuss topics related to character education, social justice, and citizenship. <a href=\"https:\/\/onedsschat.wordpress.com\/mentions\/onedsschat\/\">#GlobalEdSsChat<\/a> creates opportunities for students to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>network with others<\/li><li>gain perspective<\/li><li>build relationships with new learning partners in a literacy-rich learning environment<\/li><li>experience social media as a powerful platform for learning<\/li><li>establish a positive digital footprint.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>How does #GlobalEdSsChat work?<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Each month, K-12 classes around the world have the opportunity to participate in two different Twitter Chats: <a href=\"https:\/\/globaledsschat.com\/details\/\">Tweet and Talk and Slow Chat<\/a>. Details about <a href=\"https:\/\/globaledsschat.com\/join-us\/\">getting started with #GlobalEdSsChat can be found here.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Annually in September, K-12 classes are invited to complete our <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/forms\/d\/e\/1FAIpQLSc5K-RhxpYdKyRylhRzAzKFF3A3dEmnjVoYG6ev4vmarr6zig\/viewform\">online survey<\/a> to suggest the topics they would like to discuss. School District Leads support #GlobalEdSsChat by:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>sharing information about our monthly chats with K-12 educators in your District and PLN<\/li><li>supporting K-12 classes in your District and PLN who want to participate<\/li><li>encouraging edtech leaders to get involved as School District Leads<\/li><li>joining us for #GlobalEdSsChat each month <em>(as often as possible)<\/em><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Each month we send Lead Teachers an email with details about our upcoming chat, along with a link to our blog post and graphics.
